My Story

My story begins in the vibrant landscapes of South Africa, where my passion for psychology took root. I was awarded an honours degree in psychology in 1995, igniting a career that would span continents and sectors. My early professional years were spent in the world of human resources within multinational corporations, where I developed a deep skill set in counselling, personnel management, recruitment, and training.

In 2001, my journey brought me to Australia, where I continued to thrive in the corporate sector. At Accenture, I played a key role in shaping the graduate recruitment program and imparted my interviewing expertise to management teams across Australia and Asia.

Despite having really enjoyed the corporate sector, the call to psychology was persistent. To answer it, I balanced the demands of a growing family with the pursuit of further education. In 2005, I earned a Master of Educational & Developmental Psychology from the University of Melbourne. My research into preschoolers' coping strategies earned publication in the Journal of Children Australia and deepened my commitment to the field.

In 2010, with a vision to provide psychological services to children, adolescents, and families, I founded myturn2talk Psychology. Later, I became an AHPRA-approved supervisor endorsed in Educational and Developmental Psychology, allowing me to mentor both provisionally and fully registered psychologists in this field that has brought such personal and professional success.

With nearly two decades of dedicated practice in psychology and my own lived experience as a late diagnosed ADHDer, I bring a unique blend of knowledge and personal insight to my work.

At myturn2talk, adults grappling with Autism and ADHD find not just expert advice but also genuine empathy. I am committed to providing a neuroaffirming approach to assessments and reports, one that recognizes and celebrates the distinct strengths and viewpoints of neurodiverse individuals. My mission is to create an environment that nurtures understanding and champions the neurodiversity of every client I serve.
