Psychological Services

Kirsten Chalmers is working in a few niche areas.  Please have a read through these summaries to determine if she is the right psychologist for you.

Depression & Anxiety

The last few years have been particularly stressful.  If you are looking for someone to talk to about the stresses in your life, including work, study, family or career, Kirsten can help you find more effective ways of coping and managing your stress.

With an interest in alcohol as self-medication Kirsten is likely to ask you what role substances play in your life.  It's as important as discussing diet, exercise and sleep when discussing mental health.

Mindful Eating & Drinking

The stresses of the last couple of years have led to an increase in drinking.  If you feel you need to cut back a bit and would like some support to do so, Kirsten has both the skills and personal experience to help you moderate your intake.

There is a huge move to moderate and you certainly don't have to consider sobriety but a realistic look at how alcohol is servicing you (or not), is an essential part of good mental health.

High Achiever at Work & Home

Covid has changed how we work and live.  The boundaries have never been more blurred as we work from home and generally more remotely.  And yet neither work or home lives have become less demanding.

If you are a high achiever and need help coping with a sudden change in work arrangements, lack of  motivation, or are working in a very demanding role while still dealing with the stresses at home, having a psychologist to guide you can be make all the difference.
