My Top Book Picks: Atomic Habits

Not that you need convincing but reading is SO good for you. And if you don’t have time to read, get an eBook

and listen, instead. Knowledge really is power.

Here’s why I can’t stop reading, collecting books and recommending them to others:

⭐️ reading is relaxing / decreases stress

⭐️ gives you a break from social media

⭐️ challenges and changes thoughts and ideas.

⭐️ keeps you young / in touch / relevant

⭐️ is actual brain food - improves memory, concentration while decreasing chance of disease like Alzheimer / dementia

James Clear

Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones

This is another must read. Changing addictive behaviour, and let’s face it there are soo many things to get addicted to, is all about changing habits. (See next post for ratings)

I do love how effectively James Clear explains human behaviour and psychology. These concepts can be overwhelming and distract from

The message but not in this book. And the message is clear, small but consistent change really does work so don’t lose focus.

I give this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My rating is based on the following:

Book is:

⭐️ scientific info provided

⭐️ gets the balance right (not too nerdy, but incredibly convincing)

⭐️ author has unique expert knowledge and / or experience to share

⭐️ motivational

⭐️ it’s a book I need in my collection (many of my reads start as podcasts but I will buy the book as well if I love it)
