Evolving to Meet the Needs of our Neurodivergent Community

After more than 15 years supporting clients in Melbourne, myturn2talk Psychology has found a new home on the Sunshine Coast. The move reflects both a personal lifestyle change and a natural evolution in the practice. While I continue to draw on more than two decades of experience as a psychologist, my focus is now on providing psychological support for adults. Having stepped back from Educational and Developmental endorsement and supervision, and now registered as a General Psychologist, I enjoy working at a smaller scale, offering thoughtful, personalised care to adults navigating ADHD, Autism, burnout, anxiety, life transitions and the many complexities that come with everyday life.

Recognising ADHD and Autism in Adults

Historically, ADHD has often been under-recognised in adults and women, having long been viewed primarily as a condition affecting hyperactive boys. We now know that ADHD presents in many different ways and that its impacts can continue throughout adulthood. As awareness has grown, so too has the recognition that many adults have spent years navigating challenges without understanding the underlying reason.

Similarly, autism—particularly in individuals who mask their autistic traits—has often gone unrecognised until adulthood. Many autistic adults develop sophisticated strategies to blend in socially, which can delay diagnosis and contribute to years of exhaustion, misunderstanding and unmet support needs.

At myturn2talk Psychology on the Sunshine Coast, I provide psychological assessment and support for adults seeking greater understanding of themselves. Whether you're exploring the possibility of ADHD or autism, have been recently diagnosed, or are looking for practical strategies to navigate everyday life, my approach is neuro-affirming, collaborative and tailored to your individual strengths, challenges and goals.
